Adam is an amazing individual having worked with the Islanders on the Project Hope initiative and is now on his own. He is heading to the Kashmir region of India on Jan 12 and he needs our financial help. Not only is he teaching kids about hockey but he is also going to help the village, teach children English and more. I’m convinced all involved will remember this forever. He is still short of money and needs our help. Check out our audio interview with him (third segment of the show) and check out his website (http://hockeyvolunteer.blogspot.com/). Please be generous and help him out financially. It is very easy. To sweeten the pot, I’ll match your contributions up to a total of $200. Just leave a comment on this blog with what you have donated.
The Rokpig and I hope you enjoy the show.

We donated $50. He is a special person doing wonderful work.

Diane
susan and joseph zarmon thank you for helping out! very generous of you!
diane sherlip: so cool that we inspired you!
lots of us think what Adam is doing has huge value. it goes beyond far beyond hockey.
I’ll be donating another $200. Go Adam go!
Adam is a remarkable young man. I wonder if he is aware that he is a throwback to the 60′s when people were idealistic and believed each one of us could make the world a better place. Its interesting to me that he will be going to India; a location that has military presence and might very well be a dangerous area for an American to be. Many immigrants and their first generation American offspring are very successful in the United States and it would be wonderful to see this community do something too. I donated $50 to hockeyvolunteer, Adam Sherlip. Thank you nastyhockey show organization for offering to match the donations.
thank you arlene for you comment and support. it looks like things are going well for adam after some altitude sickness.
